Happy Valentine's Day!

My Favorite!
Silly Picture. It looks like I'm eating my Hard earned Medallion

I'm not one for all this ooey gooey mushy Valentine's Day Stuff, but it was a Great weekend, no doubt about it! Even if I had to give my first official talk as an adult at church.
my weekend consisted of:
  • making it to both morning classes!
  • finishing cleaning! :)
  • Rick arriving safely!! :D
  • Hanging out/Dates with Rick all weekend
  • Preparing for my Talk and Lesson
  • Church
It was so great just to see Rick again! I know it's only been a month since I had last since him but it was still great!
The first night was funny we are both pretty indecisive so it take quite awhile to decide what we should do before seeing the movie Dear John. (we had to see it. why? we both read it and LOVED IT. the movie DID NOT do it Justice if you want an emotional book READ DEAR JOHN!) We eventually came to terms with eating at the Mexican Restaurant in Maryville. Then we remembered it was our friend's Katrina's 16th Birthday, we decided to celebrate it haha. we called her later and told her about it! Note the hat is on backwards. :)
Happy 16th Birthday Katrina!

Meet my "Valentine", Boyfriend, Significant Other, Person I'm Dating, Whatever you want to call him. He has a name it's Rick! :)
Warning there is a rumor going around that we are engaged. THIS IS FALSE! Rick will be serving a full time LDS church mission in the South Salt Lake Mission, and Reports March 31st. Sorry to disappoint this rumor but he will be serving the Lord, and I support that way over 100%.

Saturday after I finally finished my talk we watched Ocean's 11 and talked for quite sometime. Then we watched Ocean's 13 and fell asleep whoops. It happens. Then we got ready and left to go see Changing Fate, it's a Band I know, they practice in my hall lounge and my friend plays in it. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!! Just to let you all know. Definitely one of the best two dollars spent!
We got back and worked on my lesson for the next day. We made tons of hearts with the big ones saying "Heavenly Father and Jesus Love Me" we had this awesome system where I would cut them out and Rick would write one them. He was so sweet for helping me. Oh and then I had a hard time picking out what to wear to church for the next day, needing to look nice-ish for the talk, well Rick picked out what I wore he had seen me in it a couple times before and liked it.

Sunday was well Sunday. Yay Church!! I gave a talk It was on A Virtuous Life Step by Step by Mary N. Cook. First Counselor in the Young Women's First Presidency, it was basically over the youth theme for last which made it really easy for me. It was kind of funny though I originally just planned on sitting in the crowd my Rick until I had to talk and then get up and talk and sit back down right beside him, and when I sat in the audience after showing up for church President Bates came up and said to me, "Will you sit on the podium with us?" I replied, "Do I have to?" and looked at Rick and he said "Your friend can join you if you want." I said okay I'll go and kind of just left Rick by himself. It happens though haha. It was funny watching him from the stands I knew when I was speaking I shouldn't look at him otherwise I would start laughing therefore I don't think I ever did. Church went well, everyone seemed to like my talk, we (my class Rick and I) heart-attacked the bishops door during my lesson when Rick ended up skipping Elder's quorum and joining my crazy class for last hour. That was nice. After church we had our talk and about an hour later Rick had to leave. (he had to leave pretty quickly because of the nasty weather and he needed to make his temple preparedness/readiness class) We said our dreadful farewells.(for a month) whew. At least we got to talk things out and get thing off our chest that was VERY nice.
I'll see you again in about a month!

My Long Week...

...Is Almost OVER! Sadly next week is going to be busy between visiting teaching and RA Orientation.

  • Study for Psychology and Pass the test DONE! 84% :)
  • Polka Test. hard and exhausting, and really worked the calves. I can feel it still. haha DONE!

  • Catch up in Math....almost there.
  • Write talk.....I'll have to do that tomorrow, before Rick comes.
  • Clean the Room. almost there....trash and microwave/refrigerator area needs some cleaning. Do that tomorrow before Rick comes as well.
  • Make it to my morning classes everyday this past week. EPIC FAIL!!!!!!
  • Now I need to go to bed early tonight. I need sleep, Since it's doubtful I'll get a lot of sleep this weekend haha. AND make it to my morning classes...Like Chemistry I haven't been since LAST Wednesday.. BAD! I've got to get back in the habit of going to class even if it's all the way across campus, and really yucky, cold, windy weather.
HELLO HAPPY WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get to see Rick!!!!!!! YES! It's been a little over a month. We've gone longer apart no doubt about it. But this time it seems like it's been forever! I feel like one of those little teenage girls who are obsessed about boys. haha I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

Much Sadness!

Today I checked on my fish Err, just like I always do. (His health has been dwindling since Thanksgiving 2009) and he was lying at the bottom, so I tapped his container and he didn't move at all!!!! Then I shook it a little and he still wouldn't move. Sigh..... my good friend. He was 2-3 years old. I shall miss him but glad he was put out of his misery!

Now it's time to go fish shopping!!!

Chocolate Covered Popcorn Fail.

So this one time at midnight I decided to make Chocolate covered popcorn for my Primary Class (ages 4-6ish) I teach at church. This was a bad idea for me. I put half the chocolate chips into a plastic bowl, added two marshmallows, and stuck it in the microwave for two minutes. Bad Idea!!!! I forgot that the marshmallows get ginormous in the microwave and ALMOST exploded. Luckily I caught that, but when I finally got all the chocolate melted and tried to stir it, the chocolate was HARD (I think I burnt it)
Then I quickly tried to pour the Chocolate on some popcorn, and then while shaking the mixture it expolded all over the floor!
That's when I realized that there was a HOLE in the bowl. I MELTED THE BOWL!!!! haha. Yes.
Sigh.... Determined to make a treat for my class I decided the easiest and quickest thing to make would have to be a popcorn trail mix. Which was a TOTAL hit!

Look What I Did!

So today, was my easiest day of the week, besides Saturdays and Sundays. I thought about washing my bedding, (which will be done tomorrow) and looking at my pillow I didn't like seeing the acne medication stains on my Blue pillow case. So I decided to Bleach tie-dye my pillow case. (Just like regular tie-dye only with bleach) Now you can't see them at all! I also added some hearts to the pillow case, since my side of the room is lacking some pink. It turned out really cute and looks like something I would totally have and as my friend Courtney would say, "It screams your name!" I can't wait until I get to put it on my bed!
Best Part is I did it without getting bleach on the carpet!!! I would say clothes, but I got a drop on my shirt and barley on my jeans. Luckily you can Barely tell. I'm the only one that'll be able to notice.

Graduation Day! May 24th, 2009

I was talking to my Young Women Leaders before Graduation Day and they said to write it down. So I did. On the computer, and now I'm going to post it for everyone to see!

Got up quickly got ready to go to church, with the dress that mom had made for me for girls state. The night before we stayed up until 2:30ish to get the red and black detail on it and take it in. During Church i felt fine, a bit excited though. Courtney and I went to Relief Society for the first time and it was interesting Bridget was supposed to come in and sit by us, and we ended up sitting by the babies and didn't pay mush attention to the lesson. According to Courtney Bridget smelled like Taco Bell. Bridget's excuse was that she was eating Tomato Basil Wheat Thins, Courtney replied, you and Alex- her Fiance- have been kissing in the car. Bridget says "Oh not too much" Man! that was great!

After church we came home i curled my hair and got ready to go as people showed up. Like Grandpa Papp, Vic and his family, Grandmother, and Grandma Ward. Shawn and his family were meeting them there

I was getting more and more anxious it seemed like as we were getting ready and lining up. But it didn't seem to hit me until my row stood up and starting walking over. Heck this IS it!.=/ I was really nervous i felt like i was going to fall flat on my face and what not. Plus I had NO idea what to expect. I didn't fall thank goodness! And when our class was presented my silly string went about 5 rows in front of me.

We all went back and ate at home, BBQ style! It was really Good! i Got to talk to everyone. I'm glad they all came! It made my day!

Later on like 7ish i went to Kelli's Grad party with plans on heading over to Heather H's house after. Turns out i never made it to Heather's house :(
Nevertheless it was still fun!
we went to Dollar Tree and Messed Around and the to the A.T. Still Grave Site/ Cemetery. It was Cool. Then we went to Walmart and walked around forever and Kayla was our mom. Man! that was great!! Then when we go back to Kelli's house Alex left and so did Matt me and Kayla stayed and chatted for a bit and then left.

Vic took these two pictures! Thank You!
In the pics. the first one is me and Nicole. the second is Mom holding Luke, Me and Dad (wally!)

I love what I believe and NO ONE can take that away from Me.

So as we were sitting in Institute Class this evening we were reading 2Nephi 4:15-35. It right after Lehi, Nephi father dies. After that Nephi pours out his soul into this Scripture.

After this our Leaders/Teachers gave us a Pretty piece of paper and told us to write down the desires of our hearts. Here are mine:

Upon this I write the things of my soul, (we were told to start the same way Nephi did.)

I believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost. I know that the gospel (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints that church) is true, that there will forever be a living prophet on this earth and that the priesthood will never leave the earth again (priesthood=power of God on earth carried by righteous Latter-Day-Saint males). I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God, for these latter days. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus both love me and want the best for me, and that they will continue to love me even when I do go astray. I know I’ve done wrong things in the past, but I know that I can be forgiven of them through the mercy of Jesus. I know the power of Christ and I can feel it everyday. I know when I do wrong things I can be repent and be forgiven of them. I know I must live the commandments of God to have happiness in my life. I can’t wait for the day I get my patriarchal blessing (blessing given that tells you of what your life can be like if living righteously) and for the day I’ll get married in the temple for time and all eternity. I’m very grateful for my family, sealed within the temple and also my biological family as well. They give me so much support, made me who I am today and want the best for me. I’m also VERY grateful for my friends, inside the church and outside the church. Both have helped me learn and grow throughout the years in many different ways. I’m so thankful for all my leaders I have now, and those in the past who gave me courage to move on, and grow.

I want everyone I’ve ever met to have this knowledge, and learn of it. Heck I want EVERYONE not just the people I know, but everyone I will never meet to have this same knowledge. It fills me with peace and love, it’s what keeps me happy, and it keeps me going through the the hard times. I want even those who have fallen away to come back, and feel welcome again.

I’m grateful for the Book of Mormon, and that I’m able to learn from it. I’m grateful for those early pioneers who gave their lives for the gospel, and also for all my trials I’ve had through my little life so far. Even though I didn’t per-say like them at the moment, I look back on them, and was thankful for the chance to learn from them. I’m grateful for everything God has given me. I know I need to put more trust in the Lord and he will provide a way for me.

And I say this in the Name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Any Questions? Who would know better than a Mormon?

Nothing in this is up for debate it’s what I believe. I’m just stating it, so everyone can see.
